Spin

Melbourne Scarf Festival (SPIN) . Where: Craft Victoria (31 Flinders Lane). When: Thurs June 28 – Sat July 7 (10am-5pm) Free entry . There are workshops etc. but the main event is the Scarf Market Exhibition, where you can see entries in the Scarf Awards, try them on and buy them too!

N.E.E.T

N.E.E.T. on-line magazine recently had a cool feature from fashionisspinach.com. These Easy Bangle Bracelets are for all of you origami fans out there. Nice design with potential to be as individual as you.

Kimono Momo

I found these most beautiful Kimono designs at Trunkt.org. Kimono Momo has a range of scarfs, bags, and vintage silk fabrics (they have an ebay store too) which are to die for. They would make a great gift if you can bear to part with them!

Bang!

Found this girl, Ana Laura Perez, via the Oh Joy! site. She is a creative 22 yr old from Argentina studying fashion design. There are some querky bags and little pieces on her site Bang!, not to mentions cute illustrations.

Weegee Lamp

This basic but classic table lamp called 'weegee' is from Lights Up! at Design Public. I like the fact that you can choose from a few different lamp shades. Better yet, why not buy a cheap white shade and decorate it yourself. I am looking and doing exactly that, having recently purchased two big shades for $5 each! at a sale. Wallpaper seems to be the go, so I will let you know how the project goes...

Louise Body is a designer from the UK and has a beautiful range of hand-finished wallpapers and cushions. If you were ever looking to add a unique embellishment to your home, you should check out her website shop www.louisebodywallprint.com. I can't say they are cheap, but they are worth it.

Kendra Binney

Kendra's artwork utilises whimsical colours and has a wonderful child-like quality. Her gorgeous prints are small but intimate, and block mounted so they are ready to hang. I have been a fan of Etsy for a while now, as it such a great place to find original handcrafted everything at a cheap price.
